Skin Cancer Workgroup

The mission of the Maine Cancer Consortium’s Skin Cancer Workgroup is to reduce the risk of skin cancer in Maine by promoting sun safety practices, such as using sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 or greater, wearing protective clothing, hats and sunglasses, and seeking shade during peak sun exposure times.

All workgroups meet at the American Cancer Society in Topsham, Maine. Workgroup members are encouraged to attend meetings in-person; however, some participants may choose to attend via telephone.
